Relinquishment Process

Though many of our rescue animals come from high-volume shelters around the country, we also take in local relinquishments on a case-by-case basis as space and resources permit. If you are in need of relinquishing your pet and would like us to consider accepting your pet into the rescue program, please email info@emeraldcitypetrescue.org.

There are also many shelters in the Seattle area that accept local relinquishments or may be able to assist in another way. Note that some of the shelters on the following list are not "no-kill" facilities. Please reach out to the individual shelters to learn their save rates, policies, and procedures.
