Meet Brego! This 16h, 22yo gelding came to ECPR all the way from Maryland. That’s no appaloosa - this unusual chestnut is a registered thoroughbred (tattoo # D17411) whose pedigree boasts legendary sires Northern Dancer, Not for Love, and War Admiral.

Brego never raced and his riding history is unknown, so he is seeking a setup as full-time pasture pet. He can be shy and reserved with new people, but once you earn his trust, you will have a loyal companion. He will need an experienced, consistent, and patient handler.

Brego does well with mares or geldings and thrives in a pasture full time. He is sound, with nice hard feet, but does have a seasonal eye condition that is managed with tacrolimus eye drops. This gelding is sensitive but brave and would make a fine addition to an ideal home.
