Animal Caregiver

This position works hands-on with the dogs, cats, and critters doing everything from deep cleaning to exercising the animals and providing enrichment. Our animal caregivers are dedicated to the overall well-being of every animal at Emerald City Pet Rescue.
Maintenance Technician
A Maintenance Technician oversees the ongoing facility maintenance and completes repairs on equipment. Their duties include fixing machinery, plumbing, heating, wiring, inspecting buildings to confirm safety standards, and scheduling major repairs with the building’s inhabitants.

Emerald City Pet Rescue spans many locations that house our small animals as well as equine and farm animals throughout Sodo, West Seattle, Renton, and Vashon Island.
Veterinarian
Seeking a full-time veterinarian to join our in-house clinic staff. The ideal candidate will be able to perform full intake, wellness, and recheck exams for all animals along with follow-up treatment plans. Perform both elective sterilization surgeries as well as general soft tissue surgeries as indicated. Limited orthopedic surgery capability is also preferred. Perform dentistry; a higher level of competency is required for many of our rescues. Provide other husbandry information such as nutrition, housing, and behavior to the rescue staff. Delegate tasks efficiently to support staff and keep communication clear and effective. Advise staff on sanitary and sterile measures. Assist in staff educational endeavors through both one-on-one teaching and group lectures and discussions.

Accounting - Human Resources Assistant
The Accounting/HR Assistant is responsible for supporting the Accounting Department and the Human Resources Manager. This position is full time and 50% of the time will be spent assisting the Accounting department and the other 50% will support the Human Resources Department.
