India is a 4-year-old Warmblood mare, who is a blend of Trakehner, Holsteiner, and Thoroughbred according to her DNA results. She’s already showing plenty of size and elegance and is expected to mature to at least 16hh.

 

Her mother, Dakota, was rescued from a Texas auction while in foal, and India was born safely in our care on Mother’s Day. She’s been raised in the safety of the rescue, surrounded by good experiences and gentle hands, which have shaped her into the trusting, affectionate mare she is today.

 

India is smart and eager to learn with endless personality! While she has the occasional “young horse sillies,” her overall temperament is mellow and people oriented—she genuinely enjoys being part of whatever her humans are doing. 

 

She is currently in training to be started under saddle and is doing excellent! Because she is both young and growing, we’re taking things slow and building her foundation carefully to set her up for long-term success.

 

India’s ideal adopter will be someone experienced with young, athletic horses—ideally familiar with Trakehners or Warmbloods—who can continue her training and bring out her full potential.
