VOLUNTEER AT GHOST OWL FARM ON VASHON ISLAND
Thank you for your interest in volunteering at Emerald City Pet Rescue! Volunteers are the backbone of our organization and play a critical role in helping us fulfill our mission of "Love Can Save Lives". Without the hard work, dedication, and passion of our volunteers, we would not be able to save the hundreds of lives we do every year.

At Ghost Owl Farm, we have high standards for our staff and volunteers alike. We are looking for volunteers who are willing to make a three-month commitment of at least two one-hour shifts per month. This helps us maintain a consistent environment for our staff and our animals. Additionally, we are looking for versatile volunteers who are willing to work with all animals and perform all necessary cleaning tasks at our sanctuary. While we will do our best to match you with animals and tasks you prefer, we may have greater need elsewhere.

We expect our volunteers to work autonomously following appropriate training. Please understand that our staff is at work and may not be able to provide constant supervision. Rest assured that we will never ask you to perform tasks that put you at unnecessary risk.
VOLUNTEER AT OUR FARM SANCTUARY ON VASHON ISLAND
Ghost Owl Farm Equine Sanctuary, located on Vashon Island, is honored to welcome community volunteers.
Donate your time to ECPR by assisting with essential equine and farm animal support work. Initial tasks may include stall and enclosure cleaning, facilities cleaning, supporting the maintenance team, and aiding in content creation for social media. Additional responsibilities may be added over time.

While volunteers are not required to live on Vashon Island, please note that off island volunteers must provide their own transportation to and from the ferry dock. The sanctuary is not accessible via public transportation at this time.

We ask each volunteer to make a 3 month commitment of at least 2 two-hour shifts per month.

Volunteers must be 18 years of age or older, or at least 16 if volunteering alongside a parent or guardian.

Applicants must pass a background check before receiving their first assignment.
