Honey came to the rescue from an auction in Sunnyside California. She was originally purchased by a kill buyer and loaded up ready to head to Canada for slaughter, but at the last minute the rescue was able to purchase her from the dealer and take her home to the sanctuary. You’ll recognize Honey by her absolutely gorgeous mane, and friendly nicker. Her easy-going demeanor makes her a delight, and there’s nothing she loves more than having her mane brushed out and braided. While she is currently grieving the recent passing of her best friend, Karma, she is beginning to come out of her shell. She now spends her days in a paddock with her friend Liberty where the two queue up for first dibs on the salt lick.
