The aptly named leader of our geldings, Shadow King’s calm and quiet presence is felt throughout the barn and pasture - and despite his small size, he really takes up space. Shadow King came to us from a Sunnyside auction having suffered through a lot of abuse. He has made loads of progress in becoming confident in both himself and with a handler. He has really started to come out of his shell during his time at the sanctuary. King spends his day out in the pasture with his pasture mate and best friend, Meditation. If anything suspicious happens, you’ll be sure to see this close pair investigating it together - especially if it might result in treats!
