Meet Beluga! This sweet and silly Great Dane mix is ready to be the center of your world. Found abandoned in a park, Belug, also known as Blu, is looking for a forever family to show him the unconditional love he’s always deserved.

Beluga is still young and has learned so much already. He knows sit, down, shake, place, wait, stay, leave it, and even enough when it’s time to settle down. He’s also mastered okay as a release command and is incredibly food motivated, which makes continued training both fun and rewarding.

Despite his size and breed mix, Beluga is actually a bit of a couch potato. His favorite activity? Lounging in the sun or sitting beside you on a bench, taking in the day. He just wants to be near his people. Walks are fine, but in his opinion, short and sweet is best. Long strolls require a bit of creative motivation!

Beluga does experience some separation anxiety, which is understandable given his past. He’s looking for an experienced adopter who can continue working with him on feeling secure when left alone. Building up to longer separations with patience and consistency will be key. He would thrive in a calm home without small children, where his person or people are often around.
