Meet Greta!Greta's story is one of incredible resilience.

Before arriving at Emerald City Pet Rescue, Greta survived a vicious attack while pregnant. She required emergency surgery, including a C-section to safely deliver her puppies, followed by additional procedures to repair her injuries. Thanks to the care she received and her remarkable spirit, Greta is healing beautifully and is expected to make a full recovery.

While her puppies have been keeping everyone busy, it's almost time for Greta's next chapter. This sweet 2-year-old Pomeranian mix isn't quite ready for adoption yet, but she is ready to start looking for the forever family she'll soon call her own.

​

Greta is happiest when she's close to her people. She's an affectionate little companion who finds comfort in being nearby—whether that's curled up beside you or happily riding along in a cozy sling. After everything she's been through, she's looking for a home where she can finally leave the uncertainty behind and simply enjoy being loved.

As she continues to recover, Greta will need a family that understands she is still working through some anxiety and will benefit from patience, consistency, and plenty of reassurance. Greta does have a hernia repair scheduled, but she'll be able to recover in the comfort of her forever home. Her adopter will just need to help get her to and from her appointment and provide some extra TLC during her recovery.

We're still getting to know Greta's personality and will continue updating her profile as she settles in, but one thing is already clear: this little girl has overcome so much and deserves a future filled with safety, comfort, and unconditional love.
