ALUMNI BOARDING
where familiar faces meet loving care
Our Alumni Boarding Program is a special service just for pets (and their siblings) adopted from Emerald City Pet Rescue.

We know your dog or cat's history, their quirks, and the things that will make them happiest because we were part of their journey home.

Now, when life takes you away, you can rest easy knowing they'll be safe, loved and cared for by the team that has known them since the start.

Alumni Boarding FAQ's
Q: Who can use the Alumni Boarding Program?
A: Boarding is exclusively available to pets adopted from Emerald City Pet Rescue and their siblings in the same home. This ensures we’re caring for animals we know and who are already familiar with our team.

Q: What’s included in the boarding rate?
A: Everything your pet needs for a happy, healthy stay - cozy accommodations, enrichment and play, feeding (your food), daily wellness checks, and medication administration at no extra cost.

Q: Do I need to bring my own food?
A: We encourage you to bring your pet’s regular food to keep their diet consistent. If you prefer, we can provide high-quality food for $10 / per day.

Q: How do I book a stay?
A: Simply fill out our Boarding Request Form online. We’ll review your request, confirm availability, and send you a booking confirmation.

Q: How far in advance should I book?
A: We recommend booking as early as possible, especially for holiday and summer travel dates, as space is limited.

Q: Are vaccinations required?
A: Yes. For dogs, we require DHPP, Bordetella, and Rabies. For cats, we require FVRCP and Rabies. Proof of flea/tick prevention is also required.

Q: Can you give my pet medications?
A: Absolutely — oral and injectable medications are included in our all-inclusive rate as long as they are provided at drop-off.

Q: What if my plans change?
A: We ask for at least 48 hours’ notice for cancellations or changes or a fee may apply.

Q: Will my pet be around other animals?
A: We tailor each pet’s experience to their comfort level. Dogs who enjoy canine company may have supervised playtime, while those who prefer solo time will have one-on-one enrichment instead. Cats are housed in a quiet, separate space away from dogs.

Q: How does boarding help the rescue?
A: Every dollar from alumni boarding goes directly back into our rescue work, helping us save and care for more animals in need.
