Meet Izzy! Some cats ask for your attention right away. Izzy asks for your patience—and she promises she's worth it.
This beautiful 1-year-old Domestic Short Hair is a gentle, sensitive soul who is still learning that people can be trusted. Having had very little socialization before arriving at Emerald City Pet Rescue, Izzy is taking life one small step at a time. Every day, she's becoming a little braver, a little more curious, and a little more confident.
Izzy is looking for a calm, quiet home with someone who understands that trust isn't rushed, it's earned. While she may spend her first days tucked away under a cozy blanket, she's already beginning to show glimpses of the sweet cat she's becoming. She has started meowing softly, exploring more, and showing her curious side as she grows more comfortable.
One of the quickest ways to Izzy's heart is through treats. She absolutely loves Churu and will happily accept a tasty snack while getting to know you. With patience, consistency, and positive experiences, we believe Izzy has so much potential to blossom.
She has previously lived with other cats and may do well with a calm feline companion after slow, thoughtful introductions. Dogs are unknown, but if present, they should be exceptionally calm and respectful. Because Izzy is easily startled, she would do best in a quiet home without young children.
Izzy does have some mild anxiety, which is currently managed with medication as she continues to build confidence. She will also need a routine dental cleaning within the next several months and regular nail trims as she becomes more comfortable with handling.
For the right adopter, watching Izzy come out of her shell will be one of the most rewarding experiences. She's looking for someone who will celebrate every small victory, respect her pace, and give her the safe, loving home she's always deserved.
Izzy is spayed, up to date on vaccines, and microchipped.
