Mirage may look innocent, but this Loki reincarnate is cheeky and mischievous. He likes to sneak up on his handlers and boop them and run away. He tries to play tag with the horses in his pasture where he loves a good game of chase. A few of his best tricks are picking his feet up by himself, a “fist bump”, where he presses his nose to your closed hand when asked, and backing up using hand signals. The progress Mirage has made is incredible considering he arrived to us extremely emaciated and unwell - even spending time in the hospital early on. After receiving dedicated care and love from our staff, this boy has overcome obstacles and has grown into a beautiful and healthy horse. He is still extremely shy and reserved, but once he trusts you he's like a completely different horse - playful and loving! His favorite snacks are apple pieces, but he won't turn down a carrot if offered.
