Meet Mi-Ke! (mee-kay)
Mi-Ke is a 3.5-year-old domestic shorthair with a calm presence, gentle soul, and a quiet charm that draws you in once you take a moment to know her. Found as a stray in Yakima, Mi-Ke has shown just how resilient and adaptable she can be. She may be a little shy at first, but she settles in quickly and forms sweet, meaningful bonds with the people she trusts.
This mellow girl thrives in a peaceful, low-key home where she can enjoy cozy naps, warm blankets, and a predictable routine. She’s affectionate in her own understated way, greeting her people with soft meows, head butts, and her signature “elevator butt” when she’s asking for scritches. Mi-Ke likes attention on her terms and appreciates having her own space to retreat to when she needs it.
Mi-Ke isn’t particularly playful, but she loves watching the world go by from a sunny window and curling up in a covered bed or anything warm and heated. She’s food motivated, easy to care for day-to-day, and happiest spending her time lounging near her favorite humans.
Medically, Mi-Ke has a low-grade heart condition (HCM) and a heart murmur that will require periodic monitoring, but many cats with similar diagnoses live long, comfortable lives with routine veterinary care. She also has a special anesthesia protocol on file to keep her safe during future procedures, and she’ll benefit from a dental cleaning within the next year. These needs are manageable, and our team is happy to discuss them in detail with interested adopters.
Mi-Ke is looking for a compassionate adopter who values a calm companion and understands that love doesn’t always look loud. If you’re seeking a quiet, comforting presence who will reward your patience with trust and gentle affection, Mi-Ke may be the perfect match.
Mi-Ke is spayed, up to date on vaccines, and microchipped.
