Hershey joined the sanctuary group from a California auction, and is a very particular horse. He would much prefer spending his days in his stall rather than being outside - especially when it's raining! That said, despite his preference for a sedentary lifestyle, Hershey has become an older brother to his pasture mates (Elton and Amado). You will often find him putting his adopted siblings in their place when things get too rowdy for his liking. Occasionally, Hershey lets his guard down so you can see him for the deeply caring and fun-loving horse that he really is. One of his favorite things is a fresh salt lick!
