Miss Sammi, a barn favorite, was relinquished to us after her previous owner could no longer care for her. This 16 hands, gentle mare is no small quarter horse. Her slow and gentle personality often comes out in a jigging walk when leading, but she’ll always stay close to her person. One of our longest sanctuary residents, she is highly adaptable. Sammi loves meeting new people and has picked up a few tricks along the way - including smiling, spinning, and jumping. She is a prot at encouraging people to give her butt scratches by backing up sneakily to anyone in the pasture or outside of her run. She will stand for hours for a good grooming session - especially in the spring when she's losing her winter coat. You’ll often find her napping in her pasture.
