Velvet, with her stunning red coat, was just a young foal when her and her mother, Raine, joined the rescue via the California Humane Society. She brought with her a drive for learning new skills, along with a playful curiosity. Zuni especially loves it when the grooming kits are brought out - taking all of the brushes out of the bag and tossing them all around. She also loves to give kisses, which our founder taught her early on. A ringleader in our largest turnout group, she is often found mutual grooming Sahara or racing Kahili around the pasture.
